Police have put out a renewed appeal to find missing Ayr woman Laura Wilkie - saying they are now "increasingly concerned" for her safety.

Laura, 43, was last seen in the Alloway area at around 3pm on Monday, December 18.

She is described as around five feet four inches tall, of slim build, and has very short hair.

When she was last seen, she was wearing black leggings, a black jacket with a fur hood and black footwear.

She also uses a walking stick, which she is in possession of, which is blue in colour.

She was carrying a black backpack when last seen.

Sergeant Fraser Chisholm of Ayr Police Station said: “We are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of Laura.

“We are carrying out extensive enquiries, but she remains missing. Her family and friends are extremely worried.

“I would appeal to anyone who knows where she is to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1370 of December 19.”
