A South Ayrshire spa and leisure centre has been damaged by a "substantial fire", bosses have said.
Pebbles Spa & Leisure, in Lendalfoot near Girvan, revealed the news on social media this morning, December 4, and also confirmed a temporary closure of the facility.
The Pebbles Facebook post read: "Last night we sadly experienced a substantial fire within our Spa and Leisure building forcing us to temporarily close our doors.
"We hope that once we assess the damage caused we will be able to offer a timescale for reopening.
"We take this opportunity to thank the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service for their amazing work.
"We ask that all customers please bear with us whilst we adapt to this situation.
"We will be in touch with all affected customers over the next few days."
