An application for a new youth theatre and creative hub has been submitted to South Ayrshire Council.
The application was made by Jacquii Gavigan, of Ayr Gaiety Partnership, the charity that runs the Gaiety Theatre.
In the planning application the partnership requests the change of use to a vacant unit at 1c Arthur Street, the former GasOn showroom, to accommodate the new theatre project.

The planning application states: "We would like to change the use of 1c Arthur Street to Class 11.
"We would like to use the space as a Youth Theatre and Creative Engagement Venue. We would run theatre and creative classes and workshops for young people and adults."
The application will be considered after the new year.
