Two young people from Troon have been given boosts from the town's Rotary Club.
For more than 11 years the Rotary Club of Troon has awarded £200 each month to an eligible group, club or individual who has applied for funding through its website.
It is keen to support clubs, organisations and individuals in their efforts to support children, young people, the elderly and people with disabilities and/or additional needs.
Two very worthy recipients in the past couple of months have been rewarded.
Megan Niven, a medical student, applied for the award to assist in the funding of her six week placement within the Neurological Unit at The Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia.
And Dean Lawson, 14, a member of Troon Tae Kwon Do Club, received the award to help with his training and equipment costs.
Dean has recently won gold and bronze medals at the Scottish Taekwondo Championships.
A spokesperson for the Rotary Club said: "Raising funds to support our awards and other charities, both local and international, is an ongoing challenge and Troon Rotary would like to thank everyone who has participated in our fund raising activities in the past either by taking part in our various events, donating prizes or buying raffle tickets.
"Your support is very much appreciated.
"Our forthcoming Grand Christmas Raffle is currently taking shape with many excellent prizes, including a first prize of a sumptuous Christmas Hamper with a minimum value of £200 plus many more great prizes.
"Raffle tickets will be on sale by mid-November and if you are not approached by an enthusiastic Rotarian selling tickets you may contact Rotarian John at john@johnrome.eu who will happily supply you with raffle tickets.
"Grand Christmas Raffle and Troon Rotary Community Support Award (TRCS) continue to be our two major aims this winter."
