British Transport Police have launched an appeal to trace two men following a serious assault on board an Ayrshire train service..
Officers believe the men may be able to assist an enquiry into the incident which took place on a train journey between Glasgow Central and Kilwinning.
Police say the incident happened at 11.30pm on Saturday, August 12.
Anyone who can assist should call 0800 40 50 40 or text 61016, quoting reference number 230 009 4566.
