AN URGENT warning has been issued over a strain of white powder described as 'prop cocaine' believed to be circulating in the area.
According to Police Scotland, NHS Ayrshire & Arran has issued a harm reduction circulation regarding the substance, with reports of people becoming extremely unwell and requiring emergency medical attention after using it.
Difficulties have included blue/purple lips and skin colour, pale appearance, tiredness and weakness, fits, and collapse.
The force is urging anyone who has taken a white power and notices these difficulties to call 999, ask for an ambulance and give as much information as possible.
A police spokesperson said: "Be as honest as possible about what has been taken, as this will help the emergency services to give the best care."
