The skipper of Troon's lifeboat services has retired after 32 years in the field.
RNLI's Troon lifeboat announced the retirement of coxswain Joe Millar via its Facebook channel.
Joe spent over three decades dedicating his time to keeping people safe on Ayrshire's shores.
A statement said: "Troon RNLI lifeboat Coxswain Joe Millar retires.
"A well-known face in Troon and throughout the RNLI Joe Millar, the full-time coxswain at Troon RNLI lifeboat station, has retired after 32 years of service to the RNLI.
"Thank you for your amazing service and support provided to SFRS.
"Enjoy your well deserved retirement Joe."
