An Ayr man who intended to run a half marathon every day for a year for charity has been forced to stop due to physical problems.
Garry Burgess passed the middle point of his 365-day challenge last month, which saw him raise money for the British Heart Foundation.
The runner chose the charity after doctors took care of his mother following open heart surgery, and has raised almost £1,500 so far.
The epic, 13.8 miles-per-day for a year challenge is the equivalent of running from Ayr to East India.

But Garry has since been forced to stop his epic fundraiser after consulting with a doctor.
Garry said: "It is with great regret that after consulting with my doctor that I have to stop this fundraiser after 220 days.
"I have pushed my body to its limits with this and now I have to listen to it.
"I’m humbled that for a relatively new runner that my body has taken me this far in the fundraiser.
"Thank you to all that have donated so far too this great cause.
"I’ll leave the JustGiving page open incase anyone still wants to donate."
