A TROON couple recently enjoyed a very special day, as they marked 60 years of marriage.
William and Margaret Gilchrist recently celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary.
William, who is originally from Oxton, met Margaret from Galston in Aberdeen and the couple married at Galston Parish Church before settling in Troon, where they have lived happily for the past five decades.

They have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
South Ayrshire Council’s Provost Iain Campbell recently visited Bill and Margaret to congratulate them on the anniversary.
