Heads of Ayr Farm Park has shared exciting news of a new birth - a baby tapir.
The local fun park, which also hosts an array of exotic animals, confirmed the news over their social media channels of the birth of a new baby Lowland Tapir named Calypso.
A Lowland tapir, also called the Brazilian tapir, can grow to six feet long and weigh almost 550 pounds - the size of a small pony.
A Heads of Ayr Farm Park statement said: "We are delighted to introduce Calypso, our beautiful Lowland Tapir calf born just six days ago.
"You can now see Calypso and mum, Helen, in the Farm Park Tapir house."
