THE much loved Carrick Lowland Gathering will return next month.
The big event returns to Girvan's Victory Park on Sunday, June 4 - and it promises to be a brilliant day out for all the family.
The gathering will kick off at 11am, with the official opening by the Chieftain and the crowning of the Civic King and Queen taking place at 12.45pm.
Feature events include the Ayrshire, Dumfries and Galloway Pipe Band Association competition, the Highland Heavyweight Games, The Aileen Robertson School of Highland Dance competitions, plus Girvan Harriers Club's annual Saughill Hill race.
The fun fair will also return, with rides and inflatables for all the family. All day unlimited wrist bands can be purchased in advance from the Paper Shop and the Sweetie shop for £10.
The Gathering was first set up in 1982 as a one off event but has grown to be one of the area's biggest events, run by the Girvan Attractions committee.
