MUSIC lovers from across Ayrshire and far beyond flocked to the Low Green on Saturday for the very first Pavilion Festival – and the prospect of a repeat showing in 2024 is already on the agenda.

Ayr's very own Ewan McVicar assembled a fantastic line-up of dance acts for the day, with Ewan himself headlining the event with a two-hour set, beginning when he took to the stage to a rapturous reception from around 7,500 people at the climax of 10 hours of partying.

Acts performing thoroughout the course of a memorable day at the open-air site included Hayley Zalassi, K-Klass, Optimo Espacio, Kettama, Skrea, Across The Board, Sam Akers, Talkless and Danse Atmos – while another weel kent Ayrshire face, comedian Karen Dunbar, returned to her DJing roots with a 90-minute set in the VIP area.

In a social media post on Sunday the organisers said: We can’t believe just how special that was yesterday.
