Magic fans in Ayr will be in for a treat as a Britain's Got Talent winner brings his latest show to the town.

Richard Jones, the popular TV show's 2016 winner, will put on a show at the Gaiety Theatre next month, as part of a UK tour.

'An Evening of Magic' is a 26-date tour that started back in September, with his visit to Ayr coming on May 20.

Richard is also a Lance Corporal and has starred in Trooping the Colour and the Queen’s 70th Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

For his latest tour, Richard - 'The Military Illusionist' - is set to amaze and awe-inspire audiences. Richard rose to fame on Britain’s Got Talent after becoming the first and only magician to win the hit talent show, before earning the highest honour in The Magic Circle, the prestigious Gold Star.

Speaking about his show, Richard said: "I am really excited. There are some magic tricks planned that I have never shown before, and I know that people are going to love them.

"I can’t wait to bring the joy of magic to audiences across the UK. Magic allows people to lose themselves in the wonder of it all, even if it is just for a couple of hours.”

The tour has been taking the events and entertainment industry by storm since mid-2022.

Tickets cost £23 for adults and £20 for concessions, and for magic-lovers who want an up-close experience, Richard is offering a VIP service at £5 per ticket.

This VIP experience will include a meet and greet with pictures, gift bags for younger fans and up-close magic tricks from The Military Illusionist himself.

He is also selling family tickets for £75.
