SOUTH Ayrshire motorists are being warned of three nights of complete closures of the A77 trunk road next week due to resurfacing work.

Road maintenance firm Amey will be carrying out the work from Monday, April 17 until Wednesday, April 19.

A section of the road will be closed from 7pm each night until 6am the next morning.

The work is taking place on a stretch 50 metres south of the southern edge of Kirkoswald to 40 metres north of Minnybae farm.

A signed diversion will be in place throughout the closure, with southbound traffic diverted off the A77 on to the B7023 at the first roundabout on the Maybole bypass, then continuing straight on at Pennyglen on to the A719 and rejoining the A77 at Turnberry.
