British Transport Police detectives have released a CCTV image of a man they believe may be able to assist with their ongoing enquiries into an assault.

It occurred at around 7.55pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022 onboard the 7.30pm train service from Glasgow Central Station to Barassie Station.

Officers believe that the man pictured may hold information that will assist their ongoing investigation. 

He is described as white, 50-60 years old, with short brown/grey hair and unshaven.

He was wearing a brown coat, grey hooded jumper, dark blue jeans and brown boots. 

He also wore a blue and white striped beanie hat.

Detective Constable Martin Graham, of British Transport Police CID said: “I would urge the man pictured or anyone who has any information relating to him, to contact police.

"I would also encourage anyone who may have witnessed or has any further information about this incident to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 2200128141.”
