A THUG threw a stool at bar staff after shoving his girlfriend in an Ayr town centre pub.

Lee Parker admitted causing disorder in Crumbs & Cocktails on Smith Street on March 21 last year after being told the premises was closing for the night.

In a separate incident the 36-year-old lost the rag at police after being caught with a quantity of cocaine outside another pub in the town.

Describing the incident at Crumbs & Cocktails during a hearing at Ayr Sheriff Court, the procurator fiscal depute said: “At 1.30am a witness was working as staff in the locus and made Mr Parker aware the premises was shutting.

“He began shouting and swearing calling them ‘c***s’.

“Thereafter he pushed his partner as herself and others tried to speak with him.

“[The witness] having pressed the panic button, he continued shouting and swearing that he would ‘kick their c***s in’.

“[His partner] again placed herself in between. Mr Parker picked up a stool and threw it at [the witness], striking him on the arm. He still did not desist.

“Police arrived a short time after and placed Mr Parker under arrest and reviewed CCTV. He was not cautioned and charged due to his demeanour.”

Describing the second incident, the fiscal said police were called to the West Kirk pub in the town’s Sandgate on November 8 last year and encountered Parker at the scene.

“He was searched,” the prosecutor said, “and 1.9g of cocaine in a small plastic bag was found. “In the cell van he shouted “f***ing faggots’ and ‘f***ing r*****s’.”

Defence solicitor John Gillies said: “Mr Parker has his addiction issues. He did have a spell in custody and is anxious not to go back there. He has been getting help on a community payback order.”

Parker, of Westwood, Ayr, was put on a new community payback order which will see him supervised by social workers for two years.
