South Ayrshire Council have announced the season ticket fees for the forthcoming playing season 2023/24, which includes a new Golf Concession Scheme.

There are a number of membership categories available each offering 12 months of unlimited golf on up to eight of Golf South Ayrshire’s courses, including Junior; 5-day; Carrick Only; and Flexi, to suit people’s preferred playing options and budgets.

The new Golf Concession Scheme replaces Access to Leisure and offers a discount to those who are in receipt of State Pension, or whose circumstances mean they would be unable to access Golf Membership.

The scheme has been extended to offer everyone under 18 a free season ticket if one of their parents, guardian or full-time care giver would qualify for a discount under the concession scheme.

South Ayrshire Council’s Portfolio Holder for Sport and Leisure, Councillor Brian Connolly, said: “We are pleased to be able to restrict this year’s fee increase despite the significant increase in costs to maintain the courses over the past couple of years.

"The new Golf Concession Scheme will continue to make a difference in removing barriers to access our fantastic courses, which are set to get even better over the next few years with this key capital investment.

"We are certain this investment will ensure these courses continue to be a huge draw for local residents and visitors alike for many years to come.”
