A 77-year-old man has been taken to hospital after sustaining injuries in an Ayr road crash.
Officers are appealing for information following the incident which occurred at around 3.50pm yesterday (Wednesday, March 15).
Police received a report of a road crash involving a male pedestrian and a black Honda car at the junction of Inverkar Road and Castlehill Road.
The 77-year-old pedestrian was taken to hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
The driver of the car was uninjured in the incident.
Officers are appealing for anyone who was in the area who witnessed the incident to contact them.
Anyone with a recording device is asked to check the footage as it may have recorded images which could assist in the ongoing police investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1990 of March 15, 2023.
