A NEW Carrick history website has been set up to help secure the area's history.
Created and managed by Carrick History Society's Simon Glendenning, the website will help ensure the South Ayrshire area is researched and remembered.
Assistance by local charity North Carrick Community Benefit (NCCBC) and Maybole employment training ageny May-Tag Ltd made sure the website would be complete.
Simon said: “A history website that covered the Carrick area was very important when I founded this society.
"This has now been realised thanks to the assistance from Accelerate and funding from NCCBC and Maytag.
"The website will be updated regularly and there will be a lot of stuff available for everyone as well as even more for members.”
The website can be viewed at carrickhistory.scot
