A MEMBER of a Prestwick-based Cub Scout group has been awarded the highest possible achievement award from the movement.
Sandy, a member of the 14th Ayrshire Cub Group, earned the Chief Scout's Silver Award after earning six Activity Badges, as well as all seven of the Cub's Challenge Awards.
The Chief Scout's Silver Award shows that Sandy had attempted new things, played his part in his Cub Pack, and persevered even when finding it difficult.
Fiona Hainey, group Scout lader, said: "It’s great to see Sandy achieving his goals.
"Sandy earned his Chief Scout Bronze Award in Beavers, now his Silver Award in Cubs, and when he moves up to Scouts after the summer he will start work on his Chief Scout Gold Award."
