A POPULAR Ayr dessert shop is to close throughout the month of March.
What The Scoop, situated in the town's Content Street, is a favourite with Ayr residents hungry for desserts, burgers and milkshakes.
But now diners will have to wait a while after this weekend until their next visit to What's The Scoop, after the business took to social media to share the news.
A spokesperson cited "personal reasons" for the closure.
"Sorry guys, What The Scoop will be closed From Saturday, March 4 due to personal reasons.
"We will be closed temporarily from March 4 for the whole month of March, a further update will follow in coming weeks.
"Open as normal on March 2 and 3 and closed from Saturday, March 4.
"We do apologise for the inconvenience regarding this sudden closure but we will re-open soon."
