A car was stolen from a street in Ayr at the weekend, and could be linked to an alleged break-in in the town.
A car was taken from the town's Content Street on Sunday evening.
The owner of the car is believed to be a delivery driver for the popular What The Scoop desert shop.
The red Vauxhall Astra was stolen at around just before 10pm, with police being alerted shortly after.
Enquiries are ongoing to trace the car.
On Monday evening, an alleged break-in took place at a home in Dalmilling, with eye witnesses claiming to see a red Vauxhall Astra, with what appeared to be fake registration plates attached.
However, this has not been confirmed by police and it's not yet known if there is any connection between the incidents.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of the theft of a car from Content Street, Ayr, around 10.15pm on Sunday, 26 February, 2023.
“Enquiries are ongoing.”
