Ayrshire Hospice has announced a star-studded line-up of sporting stars for their upcoming fund-raising lunch and quiz.

The Big Sports Lunch will feature ex-England cricketer Phil Tufnell, alongside Ayrshire talent Julie Fleeting MBE, Robbie Fergusson and Kris Boyd.

The athletes will exercise their brains in a battle of wits during a Question of Sport style quiz hosted by Scottish sports broadcaster, Alison Walker on April 21 in Kilmarnock’s Park Hotel.

Assistant fund-raising manager, Graeme Strawhorn, said: “We’re very excited to be bringing this fantastic line-up, who need little introduction, to The Big Sports Lunch.

“Phil Tufnell was not only a hugely popular team captain on a Question of Sport but also a highly respected international cricketer in the 1990s and we’re thrilled to have him join us at The Big Sports Lunch.

“Julie, Robbie and Kris are shining examples of Ayrshire sporting success and have all represented the country at the highest level. It will be a great afternoon.”

The lunch will also feature a Q&A with the guests as well as a three-course lunch with tea and coffee, a drinks reception, and entertainment.

Attendees can also enjoy a live auction, raffle, silent auction, football sweep and a game of duck duck goose.

Tickets cost £75 per person and tables of up to 10 people can be booked online: www.tinyurl.com/bigsportslunch.
