NEW plans to build one of the UK's most popular chicken restaurants at an Ayr holiday park have been lodged with South Ayrshire Council.
Freshly submitted to the council's planning authority last week, chicken franchise Slim Chickens are looking to build their only Scottish restaurant at Craig Tara Holiday Park.
Slim Chickens UK is operated by Boparan Restaurant Group and already has 14 restaurants across the UK in London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Southampton, Exeter and Cardiff plus more.
Slim Chickens described in their proposals: “The existing reception area within the main complex building at Haven Craig Tara is to be turned into a Slim Chickens restaurant.
“To make this possible a new entrance has been proposed which connects the internal customer area to the main external pathway which runs past the building and to the other site facilities.”

The restaurant's menu currently offers "fresh cooked to order chicken tenders, wings, 17 different house sauces to try, a signature Cayenne Ranch chicken sandwich and fresh salads as well as authentic sides".
South Ayrshire Councill will now consider the company's application.
