AYR'S very own comic book festival is returning to the town next summer.
Ayr Comic Con, which is organised and hosted by national comic book convention organisers Big Glasgow Comic Page (BGCP), will go ahead at The Citadel on June 3.
Local comic book fans will get to see their favourite superheroes in costume, and is currently the only comic book convention in Ayrshire planned for next year.

A statement said: "BGCP returns to the Citadel in Ayr for the fourth Ayr Comic Con. 2022 was our biggest and most attended Ayr event yet so we have been loading up on new costumes, new prop sets and new gaming consoles to bring you the best Ayr Comic Con yet in 2023.
"Ayr Comic Con will be our only Comic Con in all of Ayrshire going forward so don’t miss out on this fun filled day.
"Workshops and Character Meet and Greet times will be released the week before the event."
