Christmas Day weather forecast in Ayrshire

At the time of writing, BBC Weather predicts that South Ayrshire will experience sunny intervals from 9 am to 4 pm with some cloud coverage.

The temperature is also expected to be milder than in recent weeks with a low of 2C and a high of 4C.

At 2 and 4 pm, there will also be a 21% chance of rain with winds reaching highs of 10 mph throughout the day.

East Ayrshire will similarly experience more moderate temperatures at 3C with some sun between 10 am and 2 pm.

Winds will remain below 10 mph with the chance of rain reaching highs of 20%.

North Ayrshire will have sunny spells between 9 am and 12 pm as well as a temperature of 5C.

The chance of rain will reach 21% with winds reaching 12 mph.

All three Ayrshire council areas are unlikely to experience snow, meaning that those wanting a white Christmas are out of luck.
