A COMMUNITY group in Prestwick aiming to bring the town’s former Broadway cinema into community ownership has announced details of a special Christmas pop-up cinema screening next week.
The Friends of the Broadway will show the 1946 festive classic It’s A Wonderful Life at Prestwick Community Centre on Wednesday, December 21.
Seat reservations opened for Friends members on December 11 and will open for non-members on December 16.

The doors open at the venue at 6pm and the screening starts at 6.30pm.
Entry will be by donation.
Meanwhile, the group’s brand new website - friendsofthe broadwayprestwick.com – was launched on Sunday and features interactive news, the story of the group and the cinema, its vision for the future of the building, and details of past and future events as well as sharing your views on the project.
