AN additional overnight closure will take place tonight on the A77, Amey Scotland has confirmed.
Amey confirmed last month that a full road closure was to take place from 8pm on Friday, December 9 to 6am on Monday, December 12.
Two additional overnight closures were then implemented on Monday, December 12 and Tuesday, December 13 to complete the road works and lining works.

However Amey have today announced that an additional overnight closure is required on the A77 at Carlock Wall tonight, Wednesday, December 14 and will be in place from 8pm until 6am on Thursday, December 15.
The road closure will extend from Cairnryan to Ballantrae.
The closure is required due to adverse weather with freezing temperatures not allowing for the road surface material to be laid successfully.
