A CAR has been nicked after its owner left it unattended to defrost.
The vehicle was stolen in Bearsden this morning according to East Dunbartonshire Police on Twitter in the first "Frosting" theft of the season as temperatures drop.
Police are now warning car owners to remain in their vehicles as they defrost their windscreen and never leave it unattended.

A letter attached to the tweet said: "If you leave a vehicle unattended with the keys in the ignition be prepared to find that your vehicle may be stolen from under your nose.
"This is an opportunist thief's dream come true and many thieves specifically target frosty mornings to steal cars.
"These thefts are called 'Frostings'.
"Many cars are stolen from driveways every year in Glasgow in this way.
"Even if your vehicle is keyless entry and you remove keys or lock the vehicle, it can be immobilised until the engine is turned off which may be many miles from your home."
They also warned that many insurance companies will not pay claims for vehicles stolen in his way.
