A MAN called a female friend a ‘slut’ after she threw him out of her house for being too drunk.

George McGarry, 25, pleaded guilty to threatening or abusive behaviour after being arrested following the incident in Russell Drive, Ayr on October 7 this year.

The procurator fiscal depute told the town’s sheriff court: “At 12.30am the accused came over to the complainer’s flat and asked to stay the night.

“The complainer agreed, but on consuming alcohol she asked him to leave.

“He left but returned later and started banging the door asking to be let in.

“The complainer asked him to leave. He then started shouting through the door ‘slut’ and ‘slag’.

He continued banging the door which remained locked.

“The complainer recorded this on her phone and her mother contacted the police.”

Police attended and found McGarry still at the door. He was arrested and taken to Kilmarnock police office.

John Gillies, defending, said the relationship was “well and truly over”, and added: “He was very drunk and made a complete utter nuisance of himself.”

Sheriff Siobhan Connolly put McGarry, of Drumley Drive, Mossblown, on a community payback order with 12 months of social work supervision and ordered him to do 100 hours of unpaid work.
