AN AYRSHIRE primary school has announced plans for its first Christmas fair since coronavirus pandemic restrictions were lifted.
Dalrymple Primary will be hosting the event to raise funds to create an allotment within the school grounds.
Local businesses will have their stalls set up on the day, and there will also be a Christmas raffle.
A Dalrymple Primary School spokesperson said: "We are trying to raise funds to create an allotment within the school grounds.
"Each class will hopefully have their own raised bed, they will be responsible for their own produce.
"We will then bring some of the food grown into the school kitchen to teach the kids about healthy eating, cooking from scratch and nutritional values.
"Any produce left over will sold within our community larder which sells discounted produce to again support our community during these difficult times.
"I feel as a community we are trying to achieve great things and we would love a little recognition and support for the causes we are trying to raise funds for."
The fair will take place at the school on Thursday, December 1 from 3pm to 5pm.
