AN Ayr dessert restaurant is "bursting with pride and joy" after winning a prestigious national award.
Nanny Mary's, on Smith Street, won the Best New Food Business in Scotland award at the Prestige Awards.
The Prestige Awards celebrate local and small businesses across the country.
Spokesperson for Nanny Mary's, Allana Harte, told the Advertiser: "Our hearts are bursting with pride and joy today as we received photos from Prestige Awards from our winners photo shoot.
"Nanny Mary’s were nominated for Best New Food Business in Scotland by the amazing and outstanding community after the Kincaidston tragedy and in July we had a phone call announcing we had won.
"To be nominated in one of the biggest award companies in Scotland is one thing, but to have a call to say how amazing our message is for our beautiful late Nanny Mary and how amazing our reviews were and we were their winner...
"We had such a wonderful day at the awards, and met some lovely people and amazing businesses.
"We cannot begin to explain how much our community means to us. Thank you all so much for supporting our journey, we are very thankful to each and every one of you.
"We wouldn’t be where we are today without our amazing staff who work so hard to bring you the best food possible and the best desserts in the town, so thank you so much to them.
"The owners of the business have worked so hard to get to this point and they aren't stopping there, very soon I will be making another amazing announcement that you can all really sink your teeth into.
"Make sure you keep following our page to keep an eye [out] for our next announcement."
