TROON'S Farmfoods store has confirmed that it will close at the end of October.
The local supermarket will close after a 50 per cent off sale on Sunday, October 30 shortly before the store's lease expires.
A Farmfoods spokesperson confirmed that other Ayrshire premises would not be affected.
They told the Advertiser: "I can confirm our Troon shop will close after a 50 per cent off sale on Sunday, October 30 shortly before our lease expires.
"Our team members will be offered the opportunity to relocate to other locations where possible.
"We are grateful to all of our customers who have shopped with us over the many years we have occupied the premises and look forward to being able to welcome them to our other shops nearby, all of which are unaffected.
"Our nearest shop will be at Lamont Place, Irvine, KA12 8HD which is a large, standalone premises benefiting from a free customer car park."
