A DAD admitted following his ex partner’s car after being denied access to his 10-year-old son then tailing her vehicle.

Kyle Colquhoun, 29, of Tarbolton, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of threatening behaviour at Fulshaw Place, Ayr and elsewhere when he appeared at Ayr Sheriff Court last week [Thursday, September 15].

The Procurator Fiscal depute said: “At 11.15pm on April 22 the witness was in her home address. She received a call from her ex partner to speak to his 10-year-old son.

“He was told he was asleep.

“At 7.30pm April 23 the following evening she drove to the home address of another witness. At the time she was in the company of her seven-year-old daughter.

“She left that address at around 8.15pm. She went outside and observed the accused on public footpath next to his vehicle.

“She entered the vehicle and was followed by the accused driven by friend of his.

“On the A77 at the Whitletts roundabout she contacted police. The seven-year-old was seen to be visibly upset.

“Colquhoun was cautioned charged and made no reply.”

Sheriff Desmond Leslie said: “You are going to be placed on a community payback order and under supervision for one year .”
