A MAYBOLE lady avoided custody after being caught with cocaine in her underwear.
Kirsty Wood, 31, was given unpaid work after she pleaded guilty when caught in Kincraig Avenue on on May 7 last year.
The Roderick Lawson Terrace resident also admitted driving with 12microgrammes of cocaine in her blood.
The Procurator Fiscal depute said: “Police officers attending a vehicle search found various items including a zip bag, digital scale, mobile phone, plastic tubs and quantity of cash, £465.
“She informed she had ‘cooncil in her underwear’. Eight small bags of white powder totalling 13 grams.”
Defence solicitor Steven Maxwell said: “She is a 31-year-old lady, in a relationship and no previous convictions.
“I don’t think she appreciated how serious the matters she was engaged in were – she does now.”
Sheriff Desmond Leslie said: “Do you ever stop to think where this stuff comes from?
“Who makes money from it, the gangs and cartels behind them?
“You will do 200 hours unpaid work."
