Emergency services were forced to respond after a man fell down an embankment at Culzean Castle today.

Four Scottish Ambulance Service appliances were called into action early on Friday afternoon, including a trauma team and the air ambulance.

Police Scotland confirmed that a man had fallen down an embankment, prompting the response, though that the incident itself was purely medical.

The incident occurred shortly before 1.45pm today, and the condition of the man involved is still unclear.

The Scottish Ambulance Service attended the scene, and a spokesperson said: “We received a call at 1344hrs to attend an incident at Culzean Castle, South Ayrshire.

"Four resources were dispatched to the scene, including the trauma team and helimed.

"The incident is still ongoing.”
