AYR’S Holy Fair made a welcome return at the weekend, providing two days of amazing family fun.
Thousands arrived at the town’s Low Green on Saturday for the fair which was held alongside Armed Forces and Pipes in the Park – a thank you to our troops.
The free event has not run since 2019 due to the Covid pandemic.
This year, it offered a performance by the MacDonald Brothers, as well as the usual fairground rides, military attractions, market and charity stalls, children’s fun dog show, as well as pipe bands, a
Highland dance contest a great dance arena and crazy golf.
And the fun continued on a ‘Story Sunday’ , which saw speakers including Scottish comedians Elaine C. Smith and Jonathan Watson; and Great British Bake Off winner Peter Sawkins covering a variety of topics much to the delight of the crowds.
The return of the big weekend event was warmly welcomed by the crowds.
