Dalmellington Care Centre has received a glowing report from the care inspectorate after a recent visit.
The watch dog made an unannounced visit on May 4 between 10am and 5pm, and on May 5 between 9.30am and 4.30pm.
During the visit, inspectors spoke with 15 people using the service, and five of their family members, as well as observing practice and daily life.
The report, released last Wednesday, has rated all the categories for the visit as ‘5- Very Good’, which is the top bracket possible.
It read: “People living in Dalmellington Care Centre were supported very well to keep contact with their families, friends, and the local community.
“Staff understood the importance of supporting people living with dementia in a calm manner and at an un-rushed pace.”
