A RESTAURANT in Ayr is in the running for a top prize at the annual Scottish Curry Awards.

3Idiots, on George Street, has been nominated for the Outstanding Restaurant of the Year prize at next week's ceremony.

Gurchet Singh and Parveen Sharma, two of the owners at 3 Idiots, said: "We are delighted to be nominated, particularly under this category as we strive to be outstanding.

"We are relatively new to the restaurant scene, we opened in 2019, so to even be considered for the award is a great achievement.

"Our restaurant is outstanding because we serve food that you would expect to find only served in India. Using the highest quality, local produce available and no added colours, our food is cooked fresh for each customer.

"We have a twist on the traditional Indian restaurants, serving tapas, which our customers love as it allows them to try lots of dishes.

"Our food is the best quality you will find on the market and our friendly staff provide a service to match.

"Our head chef regularly speaks to diners about their 3idiots experience and their feedback as our customers are at the heart of our business."

The awards take place on Monday, June 13 at Glasgow's Marriott Hotel, where the full 3Idiots team will be in attendance to celebrate the occasion.
