Troon Welbeck Golf Club ran its Save the Children competition on Friday, May 27 on the Lochgreen course.

Organised by the TWGC Ladies Section, this was a charity mixed pairs competition – and despite very windy conditions, the 14 pairs competing were delighted to have a dry evening for this event.

The winning pair was Charlotte van Schoor and Michael Cain who will represent the Club at the Save the Children Final on Sunday, August 21 at Turnhouse Golf Club in Edinburgh.

This marks the 40th Anniversary of the Save the Children Mixed Foursome Tournament and we wish Charlotte and Michael every success.

Members enjoyed a light supper in the Clubhouse to round off a very enjoyable evening. Well over £100 was raised in a raffle in support of Save the Children.

One of the next events to be held at Troon Welbeck Golf Club will be the Gents Open on Saturday, 18 June.
