Annbank United Community Football Club have completed an incredible 100 per cent league campaign, in their first official season of being a team.
Having joined the Scottish Amateur Football Associations’s Budget Blinds Division 2A as newcomers at the start of this season, expectations were uncertain about what the team could achieve.
Originally, the club competed at junior level until 2020-2021 when they then decided not to join the West Of Scotland league.
During this time a new team in Annbank had already been formed to compete in the Ayrshire Amateur League for the 20/21 season and after news broke, both committees
met and agreed to come together to form Annbank United Community Football Club.
The weekend’s 6-0 thrashing of Irvine Thistle saw them complete the league season with 18 wins out of 18, securing the league title and promotion in the process.
They scored an impressive 85 goals, and conceded just nine goals throughout the campaign.
After the match, they
were awarded the league trophy.
