A man has died following an incident at the River Ayr yesterday.
The Advertiser reported yesterday afternoon how an air ambulance had landed at the Kyle Academy following reports of somebody in the water.

Tragically, a 60-year-old man was pronounced dead after he was pulled from the water.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a man having fallen at an embankment by the River Ayr, off Holmston Road, in Ayr, around 2.05pm on Thursday, 5 May.
“Emergency services attended and the 60-year-old man was recovered but was subsequently pronounced dead.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
