Ayr United avoided a relegation dogfight after beating play-off contenders Partick Thistle.
The Honest Men defeated the Jags 3-1 on Friday, April 29, picking up three vital points that cemented their final Cinch Championship position in eighth place.
A ninth place position would have seen the side in a relegation play off battle, and fighting to stay in the Championship.
Aaron Muirhead converted two penalties while Tomi Adeloye scored the other.
