An Ayrshire alternative-indie band are preparing for 10 days of firsts with a headline Glasgow gig and a studio release.
Stereo Fire, from Ayr, have prepared for their first Glasgow headline gig on Saturday, April 30 by releasing their first studio single, 'Don’t Fall In Love With The Girl'.
The band's 2021 demo, 'I Listen To Arctic Monkeys' attracted positive reviews, and the gig next weekend, at Slay in Glasgow, will mark the first time fans will be able to hear the new single live.
It was written by frontwoman Leah Batty in 10 minutes before a rehearsal and quickly won over the four members of the group - and has almost as quickly become a fan favourite.
Leah said: "The band are buzzing that the single is now out.
"Even though it’s such an upbeat punk track, it is definitely one of the deepest songs lyrically I’ve ever written, and I hope that people can love and relate to it the way that we all do."
The track - recorded at Soundshape studio in Greenock - is the first studio release from the band but still has the punk DIY vibe the band are known for.
