Trains in South Ayrshire are in chaos this evening due to a technical problem, ScotRail has announced.
A signalling fault between Ayr and Maybole has led to the nightmare situation for commuters, with services being cancelled or revised.
Services are being cancelled or revised between Glasgow Central and Stranraer via Kilmarnock, Ayr and Girvan, and Girvan and Kilmarnock.

17:00 Kilmarnock-Stranraer - cancelled
17:01 Girvan-Kilmarnock - starting from Ayr at 17:30
19:03 Stranraer-Kilmarnock - cancelled
Tickets are being accepted on Stagecoach buses in the meantime.
