Members of Rotary in Alloway recently met with Caroline Smith from the National Trust for Scotland’s Burns Centre to plant a rowan tree in the grounds of the popular attraction.
The planting ceremony was organised to mark the recent COP26 climate change conference, and Rotary International’s decision to make environmental sustainability its seventh area of focus backed by Rotary Foundation
A club spokesperson said: “Small changes add up to make a healthier, richer, happier future - Rotary in Alloway are taking this first step to mark their environmental programme.”
