Go Girvan has launched a new promotional video and brand to entice visitors back to the town and area.

‘Go Girvan: Escape. Explore. Experience’ is part of a new digital media campaign to highlight all that Girvan has to offer.

The steering group behind the project have worked with Creo Design, based in Glasgow and Stewarton, to produce a new Autumn/Winter video featuring the beach, the harbour and some of the surrounding hillside walks.

A second promotional video will be filmed in 2022.

The video and brand is part of a larger tourism plan for the area, itself part of a community led tourism pilot project announced earlier this year which aims to connect individuals and organisations within communities to foster a pride of place and help drive community-led activity to boost tourism in the area.

The steering group has been in operation since early 2021, and the project is supported by the Scottish Government, SENScot and Creetown Initiative Consultancy, running until March 2022.

Zanne Domoney-Lyttle, project support officer, said: “We are really excited to launch our new video and brand ‘Go Girvan’ and show Girvan off to the world.

“This is just one part of a larger project where we aim to boost visitor numbers to the town and show people why Girvan should be number one on their list of places to visit.

“Our new website will launch in February 2022, and we have lots more exciting projects in the pipeline.”
