An Invergarven School legend made a very special donation this week, following her heroic sponsored walk to raise funds for the charity.
Sophie, an S3 pupil at the Girvan school, has cerebral palsy, but that didn’t stop her from smashing her goal of walking an impressive 1.7 miles using her walking frame in the school corridors over a few weeks.
She raised a whopping £916 for Aoife’s Sensory Bus, who provide sensory and interactive opportunities and experiences for local young people. Sophie and her family received a visit from the Bus, where she was able to present the cheque.
Councillor William Grant, said, “a huge well done to Sophie for her fantastic achievement. The funds she has raised for Aoife’s Sensory Bus will help make a difference to other young people in the area, and I’m sure her family, friends and staff at the school are all very proud of her.”
