A popular Prestwick coffee shop and gift boutique is set to close for good at the end of the month.

Sea Breeze Coffee Shop and Gift Boutique opened on Prestwick's Main Street back in 2018, but October 29 will be the shop's last day of trading.

A post on the shop's Facebook page cited "health reasons" for why it will be shutting for good at the end of the month.

During its time in Prestwick, the shop has had to deal with the struggles of the pandemic, but it wasn't all doom and gloom, as owner Marilyn Brown was chosen as a High Street Hero in the Scotland Loves Local awards for her work during lockdown.

The Facebook post to announce the closure was met with support and well wishes from the people of Prestwick.
