After 32 years in the force, firefighter Frazer Davidson has called time on his career at Maybole Community Fire Station.

Frazer was joined on his final day by his colleagues, as well as Local Senior Officer for Ayrshire, Ian McMeekin, as he was presented with his retirement certificate and tally for those years of service.

Officer McMeekin presented them to the outgoing firefighter on behalf of Chief Officer of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service last Tuesday.

Thanking Frazer for his service, Ian McMeekin said: “Delighted to present Firefighter Frazer Davidson with his retirement certificate and tally on behalf of Chief Officer of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Martin Blunden today.

“Many thanks to Frazer and his family for over 32 years dedicated service to the Fire and Rescue Service.”

Chief Officer Blunden added: “Thank you for your service to the communities of Maybole and South Ayrshire, Frazer.

“Wishing you a long, happy and healthy retirement with best wishes for however you spend your next chapter.”

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service Head of Service Delivery – West SDA, John Miller also congratulated Frazer: “Thank you for your dedicated service Frazer. I hope you have a long and healthy retirement. Well done.”
